What to Expect: Educators can self-guide the entire campus including the exhibitions on view in the Krieble Gallery, the historic Griswold Boardinghouse for Artists (the home of the Lyme Art Colony), the Chadwick Studio, the Rafal Landscape Center, riverside gardens and grounds. They can stop into the Hartman Education Center and meet one of the Museum's educators to learn about our field trip programs, outreach initiatives, and Flo-on-the-Go van.
They can also try their hand at making a painting "en plein air," (Education Center open 11am-4pm on Sundays) using traditional tools and materials of the original American Impressionists. This same activity is the cornerstone of most field trip experiences, unless the teacher requests a different kind of creative activity. The range of options can be explained by the educator on duty.
Cafe Flo is open for lunch from 11:30am-2:30pm on Sundays.
