The Educator Summer of Exploration is a initiative created and sponsored by the Office of Teaching and Learning at LEARN, a Regional Educational Service Center serving southeastern Connecticut.
This program designed to connect educators with the rich cultural, environmental, and learning resources right in their own backyard.
Throughout the summer, educators are invited to visit participating museums, nonprofits, and community organizations across Connecticut s and explore what these local learning landmarks have to offer.
This initiative isn’t just about summer fun (though there’s plenty of that). It’s about:
Discovering new field trip and outreach opportunities
Building connections between classrooms and community spaces
Exploring programs that align with curriculum and inspire deeper student engagement
Celebrating the incredible work of all educators — in schools and beyond
Educators can collect passport stamps at each location they visit, either in a physical passport or by uploading photos to their digital version. Those who complete their passport by September 30 will be entered into a raffle filled with locally donated experiences and prizes!
Whether you're a classroom teacher, paraprofessional, administrator, or museum educator — this is your invitation to learn, connect, and explore.
We’re so glad you’re here. 💚
